I know what you mean... that's exactly why I've been through so many turbos (including the 35's) in testing to find what would be the best balance for how David would use the car. That's why we ended up building a set of custom turbos for the car... it was about making the "best power" for the application... which is how I approach every project we do.
You may want to try those .63's... unless you spend a lot of time running 0-200. |

Ya...I told Todd I wanted big top end power for the Houston meet...which is what he gave me. But now that I'm back home my driving style has changed. I do shorter, lower mph runs.
If I can get myself motivated...I may do it this weekend, bro. If you'd like, I can bump this thing up for a run or two and push you a little harder. hilarious I would think that the Supras would be motivation enough, but I guess not! |
Scott, GREAT comparison...it seems like the rate of acceleration while IN GEAR is stronger in your car than the 997TT (although NOT by much). Can you add my Supra 4.51 run to the graph to see how it compares?

Peter I don't have your run any longer, bro. Did you ever send it to me or was it sent to KPG? Anyway, shoot me the raw .dbn file in an email and I'll do the same thing I did with the Sledgehammer car. |

Peter I think the rate of acceleration would improve in this 997 if we could lose some weight. It's just plain heavy! Next time I'll make sure I'm not driving in my steel toe work boots too! hilarious What does your Supra weigh in at with driver? |

LOL, you guys crack me up!
Scott - email sent! Thanks! :) Tym - I will tell you, I am VERY impressed with how quickly you shifted the car, truly awesome!!!!!!! As for the Supra, it tipped the scales at 3,420 without driver...I weigh just under 200, so right around 3,610 with driver... Peter |
Scott, the email has bounced back twice? You change email addy?

Guys,
Aaron (accichelli) just sent me some invaluable P-box info. He sent me the run files of the Heffner Ford GT TT during it's Texas Mile runs. It made 933 rwhp, went 222 mph in the Texas Mile and won the Car and Driver 0-200-0 shootout. It also ran a 1/4 mile time of 10.6 @ 152 mph. Below is it's best 60-130 time of 4.55 with 2-shifts on a 0.7% decline. The lower graph is a comparison overlay the 933 rwhp Heffner GT's best 0-150 time of 10.41 (in red) versus my best 830 rwhp 0-150 time of 11.20 ( I was running GT30's during that run). Thanks again for providing this awesome info, Aaron! |
Scott
I'am trying to stir the pot here in Texas and you keep inundating us with data. |
