K24's ++ WOW

Just had my stock K16's replaced with Stock K24's as well as EVO Wastegate acuators and EVO stage IV chip with flashloader. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!!!! Ron (vipertestorosa) did the work in Bloomfield, NJ, I sent the car to him with a rocker panel falling off, duct tape holding part of the front under car cover together. Ron installed the new turbos and all the other engine components as well as repairing a leak in my exhaust, he replaced the rocker panel (of course had it painted to match exactly) and secured the front under cover correctly. The car now pulls like a freight train all the way through instead of getting that initial zip then having it fall off. I never realized how weak (probably the wrong word) the K16's were till this upgrade. The lag is slightly greater than the K16's but the ultimate performance more than compensates for it. I used to have Julia Roberts but now I have Pam Anderson!!!!!!! Ron did an unbelievable job in turning the car around and getting it back to me without the need to go back for any issues. The work was done as agreed upon (very reasonably priced) and delivered as promised in perfect condition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't say enough about the upgrade or Ron's work.

Congratulations and welcome to the club!! This was a long time coming for you. I am glad you finally were able to do it. It has been quite a while that we've seen each other but I suspect one of these days, we'll be on a run together.
ALl the best to you with your new, uh, errr, um....FREIGHT TRAIN!!

tme, were you running a 1.0 bar program on your k16's? If you did, where do you feel the most improvement when it comes to power delivery.

tme Aug 17, 2006 01:13 AM

The major difference is the sustained power from start to redline. The old turbos kicked in but didn't have the follow through like the 24's. The best way I can describe it is being in 2nd gear and going from 2000RPM to redline, that push back into the seat feeling is multiplied and constant through red line and not just up front, not only in 2nd but through every gear............... can't wait to get some race fuel in it and try that program!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds awesome, the powerband after 3k rpm is awesome isn't it.

Todd was running a 1 BAR EVO GIAC program with K16's...for 30,000 somewhat miles
We had added an EVO intake, DV's,EVO boost hoses etc. prior to this
So compared to his old setup it now feels like a different car!
The upgraded EVO wastegate actuators and 5 BAR FPR make a huge difference in this application as well
And yes is sustains 1.2 BAR through the mid to upper gears
Thanks for the compliments Todd, it's friends and customers like you that give me the drive to perform better and better every day...
