Just to let you guys know, I am organizing a Malibu canyon run on Sunday morning with some of the BMW guys (after all, I AM an M5 owner). I know those guys would love to have you guys join in, so they can covet owning a real sports car.

We will be doing a meet and greet around 8-8:30a.m. behind the Starbucks Coffee in Malibu. We'll probably take off around 8:45-9:00am.

3700 Cross Creek Road
Malibu, CA 90265

We usually meet in the large parking lot behind the Starbucks, in front of Marmalade Cafe.

Anyway, for those of you who have been aching to go run some canyons, this is a great opportunity to drive some great roads and meet awesome people.

We will be having brunch at Tra di Noi ristorante afterwards.

Good thing you cant go Luting, you make Turbo owners envious, I wonder what your car will do to the M5 guys, lol

damn, it sucks you can't make it Luting... well, I guess I will see you on the 7th of Feb. with my new stock GT2.

Actually, not all M5's are so boring. Mine can give most Turbos a run for their money around the twisties thanks to my $7000 coilover suspension with the on-the-fly switchable damping settings.

I don't think my M5 has remote reservoirs, the shocks are wired into an electronic control module. It has three settings, sport, intermediate, and race track. Somehow the electronics change the damping setting of the shocks.

It's called the Damper Force Control (DFC) from AC Schnitzer. It's actually really cool! I wish there was something like that for the Porsche, it's an awesome suspension.

ah, so it's basically identical to the tein EDFC? Sweet, i'm real curious why one hasn't been made available for the turbo.

Yes Geoff, I did. I made an offer the moment I laid eyes on it.

I take delivery sometime in the coming week, we're just sorting out title and all that other crap.

Look forward to meeting you. I will be with my Carbon Black M5 with gold racing wheels.

Damn! I am wasting away in Dallas, when I could be in Malibu. If lived anywhere near, I would definitely be at as many of these events as I could. There is no scenery in Dallas and nowhere fun to drive. So, I never go to driving events here. I really need to move. Anyone want to offer me a job????
