Which would you choose?

A 993TT to mod or a 996TT?

I was thinking about a 993TT made into a Gt2 with fender flares. Which car is easier to mod? Which of the 2 can make more power? Is there much difference in the the drive between the 2?

996TT is much easier and cheaper to mod due to water-cooled heads.

I would go for a 996TT and then give it the good ol' Stage IVGT mod. You will love it

A 993turbos would be interesting. A 996tt a much more comfortable and reliable ride.

I hate the windshiled on 993TT!!!
As for modding...I think the 996TT has a lot motre potential mainlky because more of them were made so the market for tuners was bigger and so they can R&D and develop more..

far fewer 993TTs - last of a great line, on the other hand, there is such a glut of 996TTs on the market you can probably get one cheaper than the 993TT

I like the 993TT. Get rid of the front differencial, strip the hell out out of it, install a roll cage and chip it too. Just make sure it is a '97.

996tt...engine will accept more variations in gas octane when modded without losing much power and the chassis is way better.
