Voltphreaks were pretty adamant that the smaller one would be fine, im in the UK as well and get a pretty good discount from him as im a dealer so if you want one let me know, so far no problems at all. My battery is more powerful than the one that came out.

I didn't use a Voltphreaks, but I did use another very small battery. I used a Deka, that weighed about 10 or 11lbs (still about the size of a motorcycle battery). I kept my car on a battery tender all the time. I did notice that driving at night, the headlights would drain it a little. I would go a little bigger next time.

I've had great luck with my $85 powersports battery from advance auto but I have mild winters and use a tender.

My car is driven to work in the dark and home in the dark and no problems at all, I used the Voltphreaks because of the safety aspect of it turning off before it discharges or over charges.

Put mine on the scales today, seems its the lightest here :)

2830lbs with 1/2 tank but no windscreen.

2001 turbo 6sp

Rwd with gt3 uprights and no front axels
Gt2 roof
Completely gutted interior/sound insulation/airbags etc, car was stripped from everything and repainted.
Cf seats
Lwfw
Light homemade exhaust
Ac delete, ps delete (electronic ps in front)
No bumper supports
Light rims
Odyssey pc680
Plus a pile of misc stuff that I deemed unnecessery in the assembly.

Surely something i forgot but I think this is pretty much as low as you can go
without spending crazy money. 1284 in the pic is kilos

Awesome job! That's about 100 relative hp gain and I imagine the handling /
braking are phenomenal!

I'm at 3040 with full carpet, stereo a/c and no visual signs of
weight loss. And I'm around 850 rwhp.

Obviously the cars handling has been transformed and it gives a new
meaning to the word "fast."

I just had new brakes fitted all around. GT3s up front and 997TT rear.
Even with the massive hp increase This setup should be more than enough
for the street. Especially considering it's over 350 lbs off stock.

Ahmet will become famous soon enough
Searching through this thread, I did not see the weight of the rear seat belts posted alone. This is to say the belts (with the buckles, rollers) which came out to 4lbs 10oz. This is including C pillar cover removal to facilitate removing the seat belts/anchors. A fair amount of work.

There is a motor in there that moves the blade. Eric from Bumper Plugs makes something to put in there.
