Dent!!!

Long story short... my brother came home wasted...entered the house from the garage...and dropped a lamp on my hood. When i heard something drop in the garage, i ran to the garage to check on my car....i don't think i have ever paniced so much ...i get there and find him picking up the lamp pole... i was ... whipped the hood for a good 45 mins to try to find the damage...after my extensice research i found a very small ding/dent...can these be taken out ? how much would it approx cost, any places anyone recomends in the SF bay area ? oh and can it be taken out without repainting the hood

Thanks

Enrique

I'm not sure if a paintless dent removal can take out hood dents because they need to be able to access the outermost panel....only other alternative is if it is small enough where a suction method could pull it out....take it to a paintless dent removal service and see what they say....

Sorry ,can't recommend anyone in S.F. but it can be removed perfect if it is only a dent without a scratch or nick in the paint. It is usually about $75-$100 a panel.

Good advice...make certain the guy is confident he can get it out before he works on it. ( I had a guy screw it up for me.) Be ready to pay $100.00

If your dent is a candidate for paintless dent removal, definitely go that route. I had a dent taken out of a door using that method, and it looked better than new. Decent size dent too. Make sure the guy doing it is good though.

f1,

You might want to Contact Robert (Bob) Willis of "Performance Art" in Gilroy. 408.848.6325 These guys are incredible with the many services they offer. They do not offer in-house dent removal themselves however, they have a specific individual who works on thier customers P-cars, F-cars, Lambo and all the others in thier shop and others. My car is there now alignment and detail.

If you see this new facility and meet thier technicians, you will be blown away. (I have no affiliation) just pumped on thier services. Sharky sent my wheels for my TT to these guys for mount and balnace - perfect job.

Good luck

call Tony Correia of Dent Free 650-245-8747. Tell him your hood is alum and see what he says. He does excellent PDR mobile service. One of the best in SF. It's $100 per dent usually but if you have a few other more dents, he'll probably give you a discount.

Dent Pro in Sunnyvale on Montegue Expressway is also reputable. It's usually $125 to start I think.

Don't go to a random joe on this. There IS a difference from personal experience. Don't save $25-50 and get less than perfect job if you are **** like me.

How does that work, exactly?

He made the door look better than it did when it left the factory? Did you have him do the other door so they matched?

Putting a dent in your brother would help ease the pain until you got the dent fixed.
