Thanks for bringing that up, Alex. I'll definitely talk to Todd about it.

I second that..... mine is leaking as we speak...

hey marty,

well the part number comes up as 996 106 157 03 but I remember it being different. I think Porsche decided to make all 996's NA/turbo have the same one as a replacement from now on. ALl the 99-01 C2s need replacing and on the 01 TTs we see most of them are cracked at the bottom. POS!

I had a thread on this somewhere.. let me try search/digging it up. It's pretty ****e that the quality of the plastic is so bad... We change it out every time we pull a motor from now on. If it's not cracked now.. it will be soon:(

Hey Marty- we're all one big famdamilly here;) For sure if your motor is coming out just replace it. Takes so little time with the motor out anyways... I talked to James and what's happened is that Porsche has now gone to the 996TT one for ALL 996s and not the other way around. That reminds me of why it was harder to install that TT one on a 996NA car that needed replacing. Bastards!

:o but thanks man.. I do. I really do- I make my hobby my life (have done in the past) hence it might as well turn into my work too:D

PS Don't forget to get a new Expansion Tank Cap also, Part number: 996 106 447 01 . I think they're about 15 bucks or something around there.

Incredible stuff Scott, as always!!!

One day I hope to own a 911TT, not sure if it'll be a 996 or 997TT we'll see how life goes, but no doubt you are one the top enthusiasts out there Bro, on the M3 boards and now where the big boys play.

Good luck on the setup Bro, can't wait to see what it does. So 1K to the crank, unreal!!
