Well, i had a a.w.e., milltek, and now a europipe ii quiet - all too loud for my taste ( no i am not selling the europipe just yet )

How about going gt640 evo and putting a stock x50 exhaust on it ? would the fuel mixture get effected, would anything blow up on it ? No doubt some power would be lost, but a solid and quiet 600 hp is fine with me !

also, my sachs stage ii is creating a whole lotta noise at 2500rpm, i am going back to the stock dual mass and keep the stage ii disc

Dean, since everything is too loud and you have to compromise somewhere when you modify these cars...I have your solution!! Go back to stock in every way and put a 200hp shot of N20 in your car...Silent and powerful Kevin

hey, you know what they say, "if it's too loud, you're probably too old."

get a ruf exhaust, 100 cat cell with no resonance. I've tried quite a few diff exhaust and the ruf was the best for me.

Stephan at Europipe told me EP Stage 1 (not 2, like you and I have and I love mine!).

I would say RUF or Stage 1 (maybe you could trade).
please post pics of your DAS bar install, they are awesome!

There is something to be said for a quiet exhaust, especially if you use it everyday, transport business clinets and/or live in an area where cops pull over anything modded.

I personally see no reason the stock exhaust wouldn't work. Power will be lost but that doesn't sound like an issue to you.

go with the RUF, we used it on our 3.8L 996 turbo conversion car and its quite and the car is very powerfull car, The RUF exhaust is really just a X50/GT2 exhaust with different tips on it, check it out

Dont waste your time with putting a stock exhaust on a modded turbo.
the 996TT and X50 have the same exhaust systems
The stock system is way to restrictive for even a chipped car.

In terms of the clutch- Yes lightweight flywheel will make noise- you should have been informed of that.. Guess you werent. Just run the stock dual mass with the upgraded disc and pressure plate.

RUF , takes a stock exhaust system and modifies it by removing the pre heat flap that is restriction in the catalyst and they also modify the internal baffling of the stock system.. They sure ask a pretty penny for a stock exhaust that has been modified . But it is quiet if thats what you really want, It might be an option. It will still be louder than stock..

I am surpised you havent had any luck with the AWE system , Its probably one of the quietest systems on the market. And the choice of our customers who want something quiet.Good performance and easy to live with everyday.
