Tiptronic transmission noises!

Hi,

I got the driving noise/jerking during acceleration problem of my 01 tip 996 turbo for a long time but did'nt know it can be fix by simply replace the control unit. Problem is, the dealer here in Taiwan told me I have to pay all the fee cause I am exceeding the warrant time. Is it true? Is there anyother way I can do to reduce my cost caused by the car was built with?

Sincerely yours

Chenshan

How do you know the issue is due to control unit?

I'd start with basic such as checking the ATF level.

YoWils is infamous around these parts
I had a jerking problem with my tip that was fixed last year by replacing the tranny computer. Car was out of factory warranty, and it ran about $1500. Hope that helps.

That price is exactly what I heard. Looks like it will be unquestionable.
