so I just got back form towing my car!..... yes I heard a snapping!

no its not my motor hahahaha My shifter cable snapped! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

SO I did a search and it seems that Im not alone! so mad right now. Car is running like a champ! just not right this second! LOL

I ahve an evo shift linkage so Im really pissed!!!!!!! it must be the cable

Nothing worse than when a perfectly good car stops working!!!!!!!Sounds like no big deal, just enough to **** you off. Best of luck..

also thanks goodness for the rear tow hooking. I have the MAshaw bumper with no hole in front. We sat there for 5 minutes twiddling our thumbs. then I opened the manual and found the hook hole behind the rear license plate. good thing I had the hook in the spare tire area. fewwww! Will let you all know the diagnosis tomm.

probably just popped off where the cable connects to the transmission (passenger side)....Happened to me a couple of times from powershifting...it can be just snapped back on but a radiator clamp around the joint will keep it on.Good Luck!
