what company do you insure your 996tt/gt2 with ?

geico gave me a quote that i think is a bit high ~ $6000/ year
i think $4000 / year is a fair price to pay considering my age
are there insurance companies out there that offer ultra low mileage per year type of insurance ?

Anyone that doesn't daily drive their vehicles swap coverage between storage insurance and driving insurance when their tt is stored away? I've been doing this for years on my cars to save money. My agent (state farm) has always been fine with it. Just never figured i should have to pay drivers insurance when i have no intentions of taking the car out (ie winter).

Anyone do the same?

Wawanesa is the ****! I pay $480 per year as a third car with elevated medical and liability limits. They are inexpensive and ultra fair and responsive. can't be beat. They only insure cars with a max value of 85K though.

Holy crapola! I have a M3, USAA quoted 4500 annual for where I live. I instead went with a local agent - company is AIG tho. Still pay 150 monthly. No tickets or accidents. I am 39 and have lived overseas for quiet a few years!

Cheeze, I am getting it in the rear - where is my reach around?????

skojasevic, i think NYC is playing a major factor in your high insurance rates.

For the most part, large companies (State Farm, Geico, etc) will be able to give you decent rates on your 'high-end' car...although claims can be tough to deal with with these companies.

Typically, claims are handled better by small agents/companies.....and for insuring a high end car, a specialty company will normally have the best rates - although expect mile limits and other stipulations.

Why yes they do! Why do you ask?

It is nothing special, just a better built road & NOBODY offers retread tires. Tis fun tho, ask benguss, he works down the road from me. He introduced me to Nurburgring Nordshlief last year (yea, my wife loves benguss for that )

I have Progressive and I am not sure exactly what the premium is on THIS car as I have 4 cars with them, but as I recall it was about $700 p/yr. with $500 deductible and I think it's 300-500-300 coverage. All this purely off the top of my head. Certainly your age and location are working against you.

I should add that I had one claim with Progressive a LONG time ago and they were very responsive and took care of me.
