Routing vaccum line for boost gauge etc.

Hey guys. I can't for the life of me figure out the best way to route a vaccum line into the car for hooking up a boost gauge and maybe a controller. With front engine cars it's easy - hook it up to a pressure source, punch it through the firewall, and done. How the hell do you do it on these? Under the car? Is there a grommet back there that can be used? Then I have to snake it under the carpet, or thru tranny area? Either way I guess I'll be using steel braided line due to whatever crazy route it takes...

Any pics as always would be appreciated - thanks!
