The CGT owner is a Very Good friend of mine and Rennlister (not on 6speed).
He prefers annonymity and I was lucky enough to go to Leipzig with him and
tour the factory (March 04) when they were building cars 91-99 approx.
He also has a 1958 356 Convertible D. Yes, I have driven the CGT.

That's awesome must have been a killer drive. I'm from MPLS and my father still lives there and I always ask if he has seen one but he hasn't had the pleasure( he's an avid porsche freak also). Where abouts are you from?

There were (4) Carrara GT's in Minnesota. The Red one now resides in
Scottsdale, AZ (guy lives in both places). Two guys have GT Silver Ones
and both live in the Twin Cities western suburbs and drive them a fair amount
and track them also. The fourth one was purchased new at Carousel Automobiles and sold recently by Carousel (consignment) for $375,000.
There was a fifth one delivered to the Twin Cities, (the infamous GULF BLUE
one), and promptly went to its owner down in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
The CGT's are around, your father just isnt looking very hard, LOL !
Where am I from ?? I grew up in Eden Prairie (when it was farmland, before the Newveau Riche' took over). We rode motocross bikes
right out of our garage and all over the place in the 70's.)
