Question What ignition angle (aka advance) are you seeing?

I've been logging some WOT runs with Durametric, and I'm wondering if the timing I see is normal. Here's an extract from yesterday's log showing RPM and Advance (ignition angle)

RPM Advance
5,471 15.75
5,631 12.75
5,786 12.75
5,948 14.25
6,114 12.75
6,258 15
6,384 17.25
6,498 19.5
6,639 22.5

The fuel quality numbers for both banks stayed at zero the whole time, so I'm thinking there was no knock retard. Is timing in the mid-teens at WOT normal for these cars?

I was looking over the search engine and I thought I would revive this thread, since we've come a long way since July 2003. Anyone have any numbers that they want to provide for comparison?

timing numbers will never be the same across the board... especially on different set ups... some run more timing less boost meanwhile others run more boost less timing...

This is cool - wish we had this out of the BMWs I am used to.

What sort of boost (and turbos) are you running at 6000 RPM? Compression?

I'm trying to find a stupid spreadsheet of when we were tuning my car on the stock DME. I think we kept timing at its HIGHEST point being 20* or so. It was kept really low since we are running a lot of boost.
