A friends road-legal and DOT tire equipped Skyline GTR just ran 12.6secs 0-300kph at the weekend to beat the old Veilside record. The car is obviously mega-stripped and mega power etc. Car is here: http://www.keithcowie.com/index.php?page=about

I don't have full details, but the data-logger showed:

0-100mph in 4 sec
0-150mph in 8 sec
0-200mph in 14 sec

Apparently it hit 207mph in well under 0.5miles.

Drivexxtreme why don't you put this thread to sticky for everyone's reference.

Updated the list. I included the Skyline as the source seemed reliable, but more information wouldn't hurt as the website isn't updated with any proof.

Because it's not a practical reference tool for us in the US, since the majority of us have nowhere to do a 0-186 mph run.

60-130 mph, no sweat...but not 0-186.

How many Protomotive cars will be showing up in Texas for the Texas Mile, I am included :-) I hope Kevin with his stage 4 UMW can make it and Todd from EVOMS as well!
Good luck

"Jussi" on Rennlist posted a correctly datalogged 0-300kph in 22.3 seconds. 3.8 ltr TT with Garrett turbos and stock intercooler, 1450 kgs of weight and some aerodynamic help such as no mirrors and no wipers. First heavily modified 993TT that I see doing this run.

Erik would you mind updating the list.
Thanks

Updated, looking forward to more reliable data.

Especially looking forward to data from US Tuners.

The heat developed 200-300 km/h is enormous.

I will be contributing to this list on October 9th, as I should be hitting
almost exactly 186 mph (300) in the Texas Mile.
So I will provide AX-22 Data and the data from the event as well.
0-300 == 27 seconds flat
100-200
200-300 == 15.3 seconds in the killer TEXAS HEAT!
100-300

Yes Jussi is a local Finnish guy. Haven't seen the car for while but should be FAST!

Btw. I know you guys hate rumours and for your blood pressure it is better to take this as a joke: I just heard the fastest 996TT in Europe has done 0-300km/h in 15.1 seconds. And it's not the only 1000hp+++ 996TT in Europe...Some are 3.6l, some are 3.8l, engines completely rebuild.

(No need to advertise whose build it is, people in the States might have problems understanding this but guys who know how some companies act in Germany sure understand this...There's some myths in the business etc.)

As you can see from my previous posts, I pretty much talk short and to the point.
You can laugh at me - and please do so - but I've heard this from such a reliable source who has close contacts with the biggest tuning companies in Germany as well as the factory.
He's one of the most experienced Porsche Gurus there is in Europe...(life and work with modded Porsches ) The things he knows are crazy.
But take this with a grain of salt because I don't have the data file nor "am I able" to tell you the details. That's still the way in some things in the old continent. But hey, ask the 6speed gurus VRAlex, Markski or Divvextreme...that kind of time is possible with some huge mods in these cars. Don't add this time to the list either, perhaps just better to left this to your own imagination has this been done or not
