Radar detectors... any advice?

I've had the K40 installed on an M5 I bought used. Inferior to the V1, so I turned it off to use my V1.
Recently got another M5, this time it came with a 9500 with the GPS. What a useless concept since it's benefit is to ID red light camera locations. Call me a prude, but running red lights is dumb and dangerous. Speed is fun if you're being safe. I'm selling the Passport and getting another V1 and will hardwire it. Anyone want to buy a Passport?

Kudos. Most people that pay for the K40 never say a bad word, even though every true test shows it inferior.
Robert- true laser jammers work...lots of junk out there such as 'diffusers and passive shifters'

I have a Passport and and AL Priority laser jammer. Excellent combo. Not a fan of the red light warnings either - I never go through red lights, but the AL Priority has saved me a few times.

Holy thread revival. 6 yrs dead and brought back.
i would agree that at the current time the R3 is getting the best reviews and does well in tests for a handheld unit.
i have been very happy with my integrated install of AL priority laser jammer and radar detector. For integrated they seem to remain the top dog.
