Attention H&R coilover havers
Attention H&R coilover havers
First - I know havers is not a word.
Second, I am about to install the H&R coilovers on my rig, and I want some guidance/feedback on how you guys have them set up - like how high you have them and how they ride at certain heights, recommendations...
I will be using them for mostly street use, and I am running stock wheels and tires now.
All advice is greatly apprecaited!

Assuming you will have it done by a trusted speed shop (followed by corner bal and align).....I'd suggest you give them something quantitative....(or just tell em you don't want it slammed...but you do want it dropped
).
Seriously........shooting to the X73 euro height is not a bad route.......it's not as low as GT3 but is lower than ROW.
Your shop would know the points (front and rear) to measure ride height.....and much like alignment work it's always best to get the 'before' numbers and work from there.
The front measure is from the bolthead (the hexhead.....tension strut screw connection to body).....the rear is that flat spot on the rear subframe (between the toe & camber eccentrics).
I think the X73 gives you a 10mm or so rake to the front.....where-as OE U.S. spec is virtually flat (and incredibly high).
Ultimately, you can put it where-ever you want it.....and the shop should be willing to work with you on that.........good luck.

Oak yours looks great. Actually I will be installing them with the help of a couple friends, then taking it to get aligned and CBed afterwards. I would like to take it to them at the height I first set then just have them tweak it rather than charge me an arm and a leg setting the whole thing up.
Thanks again for any other advice.

5 years with mine and I'll tell you the wheels/tires make a HUGE impact. I run 19's normally but have had occasion to put the stockers on and what a difference. If I DD'd the thing there's probably no way I'd stick with 19s. Overall, it seems a bit more "raw" than PSS9 that alot of people favor. I'd consider it more firm than soft. When I first had the car it was at the lowest setting which became a nuisance for scraping the front and poor suspension travel. If you are going to set it up yourself, don't be afraid to road test it pretty good and change if necessary before having the corner balancing and alignment because you will get a good feel without that.

138 plus or minus 5 for rear
That front height is pretty darn low cohare
For the rear you can not (exactly) transpose the measure to a Turbo cause the rear GT2 suspension uses a diff measure point.....personally I'd just add 10-15mm to that front measure for a rear Turbo measure (as a point of ref....GT3 has a 13mm rear-to-front rake)
BTW.......OE U.S. spec Turbo is 158 +/-10 R, and same for front.
