Filmed in Mexico, of course.

996TT was only running 101 octane on mid-boost, had two people in the car, plus 3/4 of a tank of fuel.

There were a few more runs made after these two, but the videos didn't turn out. They each ended up like the 2nd run due to too much traffic.

Huge props to the Hayabusa rider! Extremely cool guy who isn't afraid to run his bike hard.

BTW, I'm a great camera man. If we go out there, you on less than a 1/4 tank of gas and me in the car, I weigh 165 (after eating Thanksgiving dinner) I think the result would be even greater

 

Heck...had I simply had better fuel in the tank and was able to run full boost it would been a different result.

I was kind of caught off-guard today with the whole thing. I had a 1/2 tank of 93 in the car when I got the phone call about a possible 'Busa run. I got the highest octane fuel I could find on a Saturday evening (110 from Sunoco), and filled the tank the rest of the way with it. So I was only at 101 octane or so.

Well...the original 'Busa owner didn't show up...but as we were leaving the spot, this guy pulls up on his 'Busa and immediately says "I'll run you!". It was pretty funny the way it worked out. He's a great guy.

AWSOME. The guy on the Busa says it all at the very end of the video. I ride a 1000 cc sport bike and know first hand just how fast they are. To whip one in a car is just CRAZY!
