my PSM won't turn off

I've done donuts in my car with PSM off. How would this be possible if it was never 'really' off?

PSM is much more complicated than traction control which in most cars only controls wheelspin. It has G sensors that will apply brakes when neccesary if certain g perameters are exceeded (this is the simplified version). when you turn PSM off, the TC part of it IS off so you can do doughnuts, but the G sensors (yaw is what they are called I think) still work if they think you are out of control, how this knows the difference between out of control and doughnuts I dont know.
