HELP!! Car won't boost over .9

My car is at Perfectpower, Sol is trying to figure out why it will only boost .9 bar. They already found and fixed several boost leaks but when test driven still only .9 bar.

Frustrating, not to mention EXPENSIVE!!!!!

Should it boost over .9 bar? What kind of car do you have? What mods?

Maximus Sep 13, 2007 06:15 AM

Yes, with the Evo Stage4 GT640 kit it will boost 1.2-1.3

sdorn Sep 13, 2007 06:19 AM

Something must be wrong then, you should get that fixed.

Most likely...You blew off the pipe from the Y to the throttle body.

Thats why having an ecu that does not have TB shutdown is nice.
Just wait till it gets colder.

Didint u put on some upgraded WGs or something?

disconnect the battery for 2 minutes, pull back the WG springs.... and pressure test the car.
Sol knows what to do.

Didn't you have this kit at one time on your car??, Sol threw on an analog gauge and guess what it was boosting fine so we thought the sending unit for the digital gauge was bad, Sol got on the phone and was now told that the program won't let the car read anything over .9 Bar

We are having trouble believing this especially when I got on the phone to the shop I bought the kit from told them the problem and was told there was probably a boost leak never was I told that the program limited the boost to .9

So here I sit $3,000.00 dollars later with that as the outcome:confused:

fawk , sorry to hear .... did u try what mark said ?

oak Sep 13, 2007 05:39 PM

that doesn't sound right. what type of programming are you running?

Maximus Sep 13, 2007 06:56 PM

It's the Evo Stage4 GT640 kit. Sol fixed all the leaks, there were several but none of them were that big. The system has been pressure tested and is fine, I am going to replace the sending unit just to see for myself but am sure I have seen over 1.2 bar in the past.

My stock GT2 made .8.
