I just picked up a 996tt with AWE 600HP kit on it. It’s the third tt I’ve had but the first with mods. I’m more than happy with the performance and the way it drives. However, as usual P cars are pretty balanced out of the box and when you tweak something it leads to more tweaking.

To that end, with the extra boost I think 1st and 2nd and way to short around town and for any road course work. My thought would be to re-space 1st-4th. Has anybody done it and how did the results work out? Thanks.

 

Yes it has been done Guard makes new gears which help the higher hp cars. I have not changed mine but need to as 1st gear is useless.

BigBadBen on this forum has done it try a search you may get some more info. It's not cheap though!

 

It is one of the next things I was considering as well....Talk to Orrin at Eurosport for his opinion.

Thanks for finding the thread. That's exactly the issue.

 

As soon as I can find $10,000.00 worth of change in the couch I am doing this mod. Sounds awesome and would definately help my problem on the track with lag out of some of the corners.
