Fastest Standing Mile?
By extrapolating from previous performance data from my car, and comparing it to data from other cars that have run the mile....I'm thinking somewhere in 200-210 mph range.
Of course, this is only a educated guess. We'll have to wait and see.

No Porsches have hit 200 yet.
Divexxtremes car should be in the 195-200 (purely a guess)
200 aint easy baby! (I will be the first to congratulate if it is the first 200 MPH P-car, that would be awesome)
I will be there to compete and observe.
Look forward to meeting you there, Dr. Joe (went 176mph)

Scott,
Tommy Bahn's poopra was putting down north of 1300 rwhp when he recorded 201. http://www.autobanh.com/projects.htm
You have an absolutely amazing car, but you are living in another universe if you think you will reach 210 w/ 830.

Sean, Tommy was not running all in during his 201 run and you can see in the video that is on youtube of his run that he didn't even get into the gas fully until 5th gear. Tommy's car has a 220 in it all out. The problem with the TX Mile is that the VERY HIGH HP cars can't get traction until 150 mph on street tires. I for one would not have the ***** to run 200+ on drag radials.

My car has a signficantly faster 60-130 than both of them, as well as a higher trap speed. It even has a 1.5 second quicker 100-150 mph time than the Veyron does.
Anyway, I guess we'll see what happens.

If we get to go we are shooting for 180-185mph in my brothers car. On the n2o it could go a lot faster but spraying into 5th gear is the worst thing to do with the gearing the car has.
I tried to find Tommy's video but I can't remember where I put it. He babied the car into 5th gear. You hear him touch boost for a sec in 4th and blow the tires off, if I remember correctly.

I am looking forward to the results.
People always have a tendency to speculate with the assumption that conditions will be perfect, and that is rarely the case. That is why I prefer to compare cars that run under the same conditions on the same day.
Last year Joe's GT2 w/ a little less than 550 rwhp ran 176, Paulies similarly powered TT ran 174...Nick's mid 700 rwhp Supra ran 186 (all cars were on race files I believe). If nearly 200 hp= 10 extra mph, how is an extra 80 hp going to get to 210? The only way is if track conditions are more favorable.

Nothing major but people drive this 1 mile in many countries, here's some results from Finland this year, shows how fast are Turbos from Europe with some mods:
996 Turbo 700hp: 190 mph (305 km/h)
996 Turbo 700hp: 187 mph (298 km/h)
996 Turbo 530hp: 182 mph (293 km/h)
Also member wirx here did 187 mph in Estonia with his 996 Turbo with nitrous.
And yes there is a lot of cars doing crazy numbers (with over 1000hp) but they aren't normal road cars at all like these above mentioned cars. Keep that in mind...it's a bit different game for those kind of cars.
(Btw. Guys with Turbo-Busas are crazy, 350 km/h is normal for them
)
