It's roughly a days work. I would estimate 8 hrs. x shop rate. Could go a little in either direction depending on the shops ability/speed.

If trans is out for clutch or something...then less.

They quoted $2100 to drop engine and Tranny and $1000 to install kit and $1000 for parts kit.
Seems like they don't know what they are doing.

Agreed. There is no need to drop the engine. I would shop with $800 as a target estimate for the labor...

This kit includes everything down to the proper DOT4 fluid...if you are doing a clutch job, it's a great time to install the GT2 conversion.

Did I hear somewhere that evom is now including the rod? I read there was some issues with the correct length. Can you fill me in on this.
Will be purchasing soon.

Hi Steve,

The rod has always come as part of this kit - the rod is part of the slave included....The Evo kit is designed to work properly with no modification.

The problem with "rod length" is when people are piecing together their own kits with a mix of parts or doing it the old 993 way with drilling and tapping the case, then installing a mirror reverse fork to operate on the opposite side.

As long as you stick with our complete kit, you do have to be concerned with the rod length. It's designed to be plug and play...

Thanks John. I'll let you know when I am ready. Probably later this summer. I am also doing suspension, so we'll see how the cash flow is this summer. I only want to do this with the clutch before I do turbos.
