Broken Taillight mounting points.

Not a bad idea, its probably better than using screws. Zip ties shouldn't have as much pressure as there is a bit of flex, so less likely to have new cracks on new holes.

I repaired mine with some fiberglass mat, same method as repairing fairings when you crash your bike on the track. Works wonders.
Wish I could take a picture for you, but I live in Tokyo now and the car is in the US in storage.
Cost me about 15$ and some patience. As strong as can be

I agree with krazy, keep it simple. I like this "taillight mount protectors".

they shouldn't fade with anodizing since the deckled covers the moon ting pints of the twilight completely. since this isn't a high visibility part just use the least expensive way to protect for long term. painting if thats it is fine with me. anodize tends to last the longest and i would think p/c would be the most expensive
you have a good idea going, don't complicate it to much.

Its nice to see he's concerned with quality/longevity, if a person had to paint then every few years it wouldn't be the end of the world. I like pc as it would blend in nice but anodizing would work.
