I got quoted for Madico brand tint today, are these prices fair for a 4 door sedan?

Regular non-metallic: $250
Ceramic: $400

Is the ceramic tint worth the extra $150?

I think i have sunguard or something like that...its charcoal colored...and it was professional installed at a good place by me for about 140 bucks....it looks sweeet

 

fyi- ceramic tint does not turn purple, and does not intefere with GPS / cell phone. I think that is the primary benefit.

Besides.... anything with "ceramic" in it is always good for bonus cool points..

 

It depends on where you live. Ceramic cuts out 80-95% infrared and also cuts out uv. You car stays cooler and you interior lasts. Other film just cuts down the visible light. If you live in the desert like Phoenix ceramic is kind and worth the price. If you live up north (New York, Boston, Chicago) then it probably makes no difference - go cheap!
