Should i keep the stock muffler, or is there a market to sell it out there?

Thx.

yellowbmr Jul 20, 2004 01:05 PM

newport996 Jul 20, 2004 01:12 PM

Newport is great....I am having problems with McKenna in Norwalk. I bought my first Porsche form Newport and had no problems with them, great service. Bought this car from McKenna and I am having nothing but problems in the 33 days I have owned the car.....

Bought car in Norwalk, they give loaners (rentals). Newport does not.

what do you mean by unless you want really loud? is it super loud or

are you saying it's not that loud?

explain,:(

Autobacs in Stanton installed my PSE $100 and they do a great job. You can watch from a catwalk if you wish. It is truly a great store/Shop!

Itzkirb Jul 20, 2004 02:40 PM

to me, PSE isn't that loud. Now Robyn's car with the straight pipes...that is loud. PSE is just right, IMO. I was just saying if you wanted something Loud, PSE might be too quiet for some people.

$300 is way too much for having your mufflers installed. unless you're getting the electronics installed with it...then you're getting a killer bargain

mziegler38 Jul 20, 2004 09:39 PM

I agree. I had mine installed with the electronics at the dealer which cost approx $800. In retrospect, since I have never switched it off in 5 months, that was a mistske. I understand that just the muffler install should cost about $100 from prior posts.
PS the sound is awsome and just right.

Ranfni Jul 20, 2004 11:41 PM

What does PSE stand for and what are you installing exactly?
Thanks

Itzkirb Jul 20, 2004 11:45 PM

PSE = Porsche Sports Exhaust

Paid $100 here (1hr labor) for cans only. Quoted $800 for the full electronics. Needless to say..I did cans only and have never looked back.
