Work Wheels On 996

Our customer Joe was really happy with his wheels. I always get a kick out of watching our customers and the first time they put on a new pair of shoes. Joe was a real cool customer and truely loves his car. If your out there Joe enjoy it, you deserve it.

Nice wheels...but the rear offset look pretty tight... Do you know the exact offset on those?

I'm always sceptical when someone is selling wheels but is reluctant to publish basic fitiment and construction info (wheel size/width/offset, forged/cast, wheel weight, etc).

LA Tech, if you are still around please post this info.

Seems like we all want the same thing - diameter, width, offset, weight.

The car looks like an '02+ 996 C2, correct? With these wheels, what spacers, if any are you using?

Sorry, I didn't back to you guys earlier but I was having Tequilla shots for my birthday last night. Feeling a little hung over today. Anyway, the fronts are 19x8.5 et 51 and 19x11 et58. This car is also lowered and does not rub. However, it is an aggressive application. Going this aggressive you run the risk of having to roll the fenders. We got lucky with this car and didn't have to roll them. Although this car is a narrow body it really fattened up the rear end on this car.

That's not too bad. It will extend an extra 7mm beyond what GT3 size wheels will (18 x 11 et 65), but if you don't put on super wide tires it would probably be ok.

You are exactly right it's a personal choice. Some people like chocolate other people like vanilla. Either way Work offers a less aggressive application for those who want to bring the wheels in a bit.

Here's my "less aggressive" sample in 19x12, 315/25/19 sizing. It looks really inset here, but it's damn close to the fender wheel well... no rubbing, but damn close. anything more aggressive than this i would've definitely had to roll.

Nothing personal man, but there's no way that setup above is not rubbing without fender mods. Just admit it. We'll respect you more for it.

Hey nice car. The aero lip and the Tech Art rockers look great. The lip on this particular car has not been rolled. However, I roll fenders all the time. I have a specific tool for the job. I even take the extra step of warming up the fenders prior to rolling in order to minimize the possibility of cracking the paint. Because of this aggressive application there is still a chance this car comes back for a fender roll. If 4 people are in the car and Joe goes up a drive way or hits his favorite corner there is a chance he will rub and possibly even pull down the inner fender lip. If that happens we will do a fender roll and take care of that. But so far so good and I haven't heard anything from Joe. Joe as well as all my customers are well informed prior to ordering aggressive offsets, that there is a risk of having to roll the fender. This a risk Joe and many others are willing to take in order to fit that aggressive application. If that happens I will make sure to post some pics of the inner fender lip rolled. I can tell you really want me to roll the lip on Joe's car and I always aim to please.
