Porsche Cars North America Reports July and Fiscal-Year Sales

July up 6 Percent; Fiscal Year up 32 Percent at Close
ATLANTA, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), importer and distributor of Porsche sports cars and Cayenne SUVs in the United States and Canada, today announced U.S. retail sales totaled 2,705 vehicles in July, an increase of 6 percent. In addition to the positive monthly performance, year-to-date sales of 18,415 were 17 percent ahead of the previous year.
"We are pleased with our performance and confident in the future as more new models come our way," said PCNA CEO Peter Schwarzenbauer. "We look forward to our customers' response to the new 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera S, which go on sale Aug. 28."
July also marks the close of the company's fiscal year, which ended 32 percent ahead of the previous fiscal year, with 32,763 sales in the U.S. and Canada. Of those vehicles, 17,457 were Cayennes and 15,306 were sports cars. PCNA's Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned program was other success story, with 4,136 company-backed vehicles sold in the fiscal year .
