Need Help!!! I need to open the front trunk, but the battery isn't connected.

Hi everyone,

I need help to open up the front trunk. My friend disconnected the battery and I close the front trunk. My 996 is 2001, so the trunk opener is electric powered. Is there any way I can open it? Does anyone know how to open it? Can't connect the battery.... Heeeeeeeeelp.

on the right side of the wheel well there is a metal wire that you can pull and it should pop open.

If the metal wire way does not work, try this. In the engine bay, there is a terminal that powers the car as if the battery was there. It's used to give the battery a jump from the engine compartment. You can connect jumper cables to it and ground- then open your car. I did the same thing and this worked. Looked it up over on Renntech.org. Damn dealer tried to convince me to pay them $400 so they could dismantle the lock and get in that way. Good luck.

There are also a couple of terminal connections in the driver-side door jam that is designed for this exact situation. It's mentioned in the owner's manual.Good luck.

Open the fuse box and there is a pull-out terminal. Use a battery charger and connect the positive to the pull-out terminal and the negitive to the door latch/striker plate.

also, if ur booster pack came with a cigarette adaptor you can get power thru there...just plug it in and turn on ur booster pack. then unlock ur doors as normal.
