New wheels are on, but doesn't look right

the RUF reps are on, finally all the vibrations are gone, but something doesnt look right, tires too small? maybe offset too high and I need spacers, thinking 12-15mm?

what you guys think??

How wide are the wheels and what tire size did you go with?

SecretAznSauce Jan 9, 2009 03:59 PM

19 x 8.5 235/35/19 19 x 11 275/30/19 ( some old tires I had laying around) I probably will bump up to 295' 30 or 35 in a few months

Can't really tell much by those angles.........need a flush shot down the side.

Wheels look really nice!

What are the widths and offsets?

Stock offsets can usually run 15mm spacer and be great.

Rear tires look kinda JDM streched.

And car would look much better lowered a bit.

ya rear offset on 11" is 67et, i think thats the problem. I can't lower anymore, I scrap the driveway as it is right now

I see you added the last pic.....:p

Offsets look ok.....I think they will look fine if you put some wider tires on there.

Rears are way streched.

Tires are the only thing keeping you from flying off into the guardrail.....don't skimp on them!

LUISGT3 Jan 9, 2009 04:11 PM

You need some 295's with 11"s.

The wheels look sick!

PanteraVegas Jan 9, 2009 04:45 PM

I agree, tires are too narrow. My fronts (on the Pantera, not the Porsche) look like that because 285s are no longer available and I had to go to 245s until I get bigger (taller) wheels.

I really like the wheels.

I have 11" in 19 with 67 offsets. I'm running 305's in the back. 275 look waaaaay wrong.

Tires look wayyy too small! But wheels look great!

John in Norcal Jan 9, 2009 05:36 PM

Wheels look great. You just need wider tires and lower the car.

Edgy01 Jan 9, 2009 05:41 PM

Those rims appear completely inappropriate for a 996. And your tires are way too narrow for the rim width (rear).

deckman Jan 9, 2009 06:14 PM

The wheels are fine. Edgy needs a drink to take the edge off. You just need wider tires and you can lower the car. Go in and out of your driveway at a hard angle and you won't scrape anymore.

Way ahead of you... :-)
