Question EVOMs Cold Air Intake - Filter Removal Help Needed

Need some help removing the air filter from a EVOMs cold air intake system. In the photo below, does the air filter disconnect from point "A" or point "B"? Thx!

Looks like he already removed the clamp - it's sitting to the left of the filter housing. Looks like a tight squeeze to get the filter out. Are there any instructions on the EVOMS website?

I found some install instructions for you - not exactly what you were looking for but there are some good pictures -

Here is what I would recommend for you to do ( makes job much easier ).
First remove the airbox from the car. There should be a 10mm nut to the right of the trunk release ( remove ) as well as loosening up the hose clamps securing the silicon hose to the throttle body. Once everything is lose ( or removed ) just pull the air box out of the vehicle.

Now this should be fairly easy. Remove the second hose clamp that is secure the filter element on to the Venturi section of the intake ( clamp closet to the filter in your pic ( right ) ) Once that is completely loose, you should be able to wedge your hand under the filter and gently pull it out of the air box. Remember the air box is made of plastic and it will flex while your doing this ( not a problem). Just remember to be gentle of the filter so you do not damage the mesh housings.

I hope that helps.

Cool

+1 for removing the entire unit so you can work on it.

"A" should be epoxied to the tube, at least mine came that way.

It is a biotch, and you have to squish it a little to get it out.

Loosen "B" first and I find that loosening the nut for the the clamp/s at the motor makes it easier to remove the filter element. I do not remove the entire unit.

be careful if just removing to clean/re oil - use very very little oil outside filter only and let it set up for several hrs before use...otherwise you are almost 100% guaranteed to have a CEL error and a MAF that needs to be cleaned or replaced

Easiest way. loosen outside hose clamp from throttle body, loosen hose clamp securing air filter. Pull tube from throttle body, this should give you room to wiggle air filter out from the tube.
