backseat question 996 C4S

I'm considering buying a 996 C4S, however I have two little kids (3 and 5 yrs old). I just sold my E39 M5, which I'm regretting right now, and itching for another ride. Just out of curiosity how usuable is the backseat for kids? I'm assuming its roomy enough for kids but not adults. Can anyone post pics of carseats in the backseat? I'm a newbie so still learning how to navigate through the forum. I appreciate the help.

hi i have not long ago sold my bmw e60 530i i have bought a carrera 2 2002, i have a 4 year old and use it everyday, i think its fine there is enough leg room, i even often have friends in there and solongs there not too tall you dont have a problem, only thing i would say is if your tall you will eed drivers eat far back so will leave little leg room, im 5ft11 and i find it no problem, i had a little problem finding a child car seat, always had recarcos but they dont fit, the 996 has a tiny dip for the base of the seat, i did some research and there is a few that fit but i went for the porsche one, i prefer style and its got a nice log on, it fits well, and didnt break the bank 200pounds, will last untill age 12, hope this is of some help, sorry i dont have pics

I have a 5 and 7 year old. They love it. No car seats. Just an extra pillow under their butt!

My 10 year old rides in the back daily and my 13 year old still rides in the back from time to time. I have a cab which is not as comfortable as a coupe. Just keep trips under 2 hours.

The longest I'd take them is two hour rides. I was reading on rennlist how some ppl have takin out the cushions to make room for the carseats. Now I just have to find me a 996 C4S ... I do have to admit i'm tossing and turning over an BMW E60 550 or 996 C4S.

My little kids have been riding in the 996's back seats since they first started facing forward in their buckets. They are now 4 and 7 and can get in and out and buckle all by themselves. As 2+2's go, I think the car is surprisingly practical and fun for kids < teen. Other fathers keenly embrace and point out the young family practicality when they witness the 4 of us pull up somewhere and pile out...their wives stand agasp in disbelief as the fathers give us the enthusiastic thumbs up.

I thought that once my daughter was in a front-facing car toddler seat, we'd use the Porsche all the time. Not so. With a roomy sedan and station wagon available, the three of us get in the Porsche maybe once a year, and even then, with some complaining on the part of my daughter, who is now 7. Even little kids prefer more space. If there's no other car to choose from, well, that solves that issue.

I have a 4 and 9 year old that ride in the back of my 2003 cab the time. The little one especially enjoys it.
