Phase 3: Final phase of customer's car
Just wanted to share some pics of my friend's cab that we have worked on from start to finish. It's come a long way and I believe the owner is done with his car (exterior and interior-wise). It's awesome to meet someone for the first time and talk about cars to getting to know them and hanging out and eventually call them a friend.

edwin, do you think that this install is a DIY job, or does it need to be done at a bodyshop? If it is a DIY, including a instruction sheet would be a great idea.

Why didn't you also paint the defroster vents?
A You mean the actual slats on the vents? We wanted some contrast... too much blue would have been overkill, imo

The OEM turbo bumper is a breeze for a DIY as it's pretty much a direct bolton. The only issue is that the bolts on the bottom of the bumper do not line up with the holes in the 996 nb. The turbo rear can also be a DIY but only if you decide not to reuse the bumperette covers. My shop took over 4 hours to measure and cut and remeasure the rear bumperette covers to fit onto the turbo rear. We thought it would be a cleaner look so we went for it Edwin |
Just wanted to bump this up and show what we did on this customer's brother's 996 cab
