clunking sound (loose metal to metal) from rear in 1st gear.

clunking sound (loose metal to metal) from rear in 1st gear.
It sounds like the tranny or something is loose in the back (mostly in first gear or if you you let the clutch up slowly). I am noticing it more.

Has anyone heard of such symptom? Bad mounts?

exophthalmos is infamous around these parts
i have the same problem on my 04 c4s after 2 autocross events. not sure what it is, but i'm noticing more these days...

maybe you tire is loose?? i went through that today!! my tires was loose!
