OK, you've got me on the trail of '02 996

Culled, it seems the top mods are SSK, Wheels/Tires (Ruf & SO3 for me), Bilstein coilovers, and sport/upgraded exhaust system. First three have apparent benefit. What have you realized from an exhaust system? And lastly, S v. Base? Thanks for all your help so far, the shopping tips are most appreciated.
