Question for C4S Owners running PSS9\PSS10's...

Anyone running the Turbo versions of the PSS9\10's on their C4S? If so, can you comment on them?

Bilstein says to use the C4 versions on the C4S, but reading through the threads here some folks question that logic and are running the Turbo versions.

I'm looking to pick up something for a DD as well as an occasional AutoX or DE and the PSS9\10 get pretty good feedback from the folks on this and other boards as being a good all-around setup. It looks like there is one set of PSS9's available for a C4 fitment, while the equivalent PSS10 are about $900 more. Another option is to pick up a used set of Turbo PSS10's at about half the price.

What would you do?

I think mine are TT... Get the TT PSS... C4S is more like a TT than a C4 and get the 10 over 9

Do you have the 9's or the 10's? What's your feedback? How low is your car? Do you end up scraping the bottom on driveways etc?

I believe the springs for both the 9's and the 10's and even the shock profiles are the same, only that there are 10 clicks as opposed to 9, they click more distinctly, and the adjustment direction is opposite. That's about all.

I have 9's on for about 4 years now. I drive her everyday, Sunny, Rain, Snow or Ice... I like them. If i had known i would have gotten H&R's coz they go a lot Lower, how i like it... I wish these Went lower... My car is preety Slammed, you cant put a Finger thru any Fender but i wanted the "Tuck" look, but not with PSS9's...

Do i Scrape? if im not Carefull yes, but i am good at Tri-Poding... I had to Tighten them one Notch up this Summer because they were going Soft on me (normal)... All good now... I was running 7R & 5F for 4 Years but now its at 6R & 4F feels Firm Again...

Zookie, car looks great!

I also run TT pss9's and have read that these were the ones to use on the C4S's as we are almost the same car as the TT..........minus the engine LOL. I bought mine off a friend here and have been on the car 3yrs. need to do what Zookie did and change settings as its a little soft right now. that or a rebuild asap.

In response on going lower, the lower the car the more stress you put on the rear tires and these cars are notorious for burning thru rear tires. I know guys who have lowered their P-cars as low as they go and spend a fortune on alignment and rear tires ( $ 800 every 5-8K miles). IF you do lower the car to the max, make sure you get the engine protective plate that protects the engine from scrapping on the ground when going over bumps or debris on the road.
