Instrument Bulbs
I have a 2000 Carrera 2 cab. One of my instrument illumination bulbs (the oil pressure area) is burnt out. I plan to replace all three (?) bulbs once I have access to them. My question is, how do you remove the instrument cluster from the dash? Anything to be aware/paranoid about? Any other items to address while I am in there? The dealer said it takes about an hour, is this about right? What tools will be required? Thanks again for all the wonderful info offered.

Here's a schematic of the dash, hope this helps http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p..._911_parts.php

Instrument Bulbs
Thanks Kaz, I will download the pages when my internet service is in a faster mode. Do you know how the instrument cluster comes out of the dash? Does it have screws/nuts that need to be released to free it? Thanks for the help.

Perfect time to replace the amber bulbs with blue or bright white! But then you'll have to do the climate control panel too which is a whole different animal.

Porschespeeddemon, thanks again for the advise. So I remove the instrument cluster by utilizing the hazard button and small vent thing holes? I just poke my fingers in and lightly muscle the instrument cluster out? Are the screws you refer to what holds the instrument cluster in place? Once they are removed, it will slide out towards me? Thanks again for all your wonderful help.
