just got the steering wheel, e brake and shifter in alcantara from Gert at Carnewal, so it matches the alcantara roof, should I try to do this myself or should I take it to the dealer and have them install it, has anyone done this?

Steering wheel is super easy, maybe 10 minues....unhook battery from car(make sure you have your radio code, you may need it), then there are screws behind steeing wheel holding on the airbag, once airbag is off, then mark the bolt holding steering wheel to realign it with the new wheel. Unhook the horn leads, take off bolt that holds wheel on, then remove wheel, then do exactly the opposite to install new wheel. It took my literally 15 minutes taking my sweet time.

 

Beautiful thank you, just one question, how do I know if the airbag is off? is the airbag turned off just by disconecting the battery? and are the horn leads that I have to disconect just right behind the steering wheel? thanks Newport

Hey Dimisa the steering wheel is in the carnewal website but as part of the Rennsport Alcantara gt3 package, by the way I was wondering hows that avic-n1? i was going to do the avic n1 last month but I am hearing it has some bugs and the n2 will be out in a month, they are also coming out with a double din called avic-d1, anyways hows the gps on it and overall do you like it? Do you have the rear view camera installed?

Well I should get it tomorrow, but I ordered it with blue stitching because I have grey interior. I also ordered side skirts and I will post pics as soon as I am done with it and also as soon as I figure out how to post pics, It is my first day in the forum

this pkg only comes in grey from carnewal...say it 'aint so...i have my credit card out...ready...

i am all about the black with red...then i'll get the red belts too!

 

it's dark grey. possibly a good match with the roof-liner.

 

Does anyone know of any other things I can do in alcantara that would match the dark grey headliner? I have seen the gt3 seats in alcantara but other than that I have not seen anything
