Can a E GAS engine be installed to a NON E Gas car?

Does anyone know if a E-Gas throttle body engine can be used in a NON E-Gas car? If it can be done, is it hard? thanks

I think it can be done. You would have to replace the DME, throttle body, petal, and get it all wired. Is there a reason you want to?

If you have a 1999 996 & want to install a 2000-2001 3.4 simply install your intake & throttlebody on the new engine everything below interchanges.

Way too much work to try to install the electronic throttle in a cable throttle car. Just swap the cable throttle body and a couple of supports/brackets onto the E-gas engine and you are good to go.

thanks, the main reason i ask the question is my current engine is having oil leaks from many areas and also having a few probs so I got a hold of another engine but its an E gas motor so I just wanted to make sure it will work before I take things apart.
