Brando Sep 1, 2011 08:36 AM

In 996's.....Turbos and C4S are widebody.

MalcolmV Sep 1, 2011 08:39 PM

Let's not forget the GT3 is also narrow body

mikegr Sep 2, 2011 01:45 AM

I think they have 4cm difference...

Zookie Sep 2, 2011 07:48 AM

Widebody:-

2001-2005 Turbo, Turbo S
2002-2005 C4S
2002-2005 GT2

mmmmmmmm yes, but i dont why would anyone want to do that...

mikegr Sep 3, 2011 04:12 AM

yes, i looked for it too and everybody told me that a C4s cannot be converted to TT.
So either sell the C4s and spend 10-12K more to get a 996TT or buy aftermarket conversion turbos from another company

Brando Sep 3, 2011 06:18 AM

You could swap an LS7 into it ......if you have enough time and money.hilarious

Nope. They made them widebodies on the 997, but the 996 RS is a narrow body.

@chrisp911: You can put the 996 TT Motor in any 996, but keep in mind you have to change the tranny with it and some other stuff. 996 TT Engine is a GT1 block, which is very different from the Carrera Blocks. Putting a GT1 Block in a Carrera would cost so much you might as well buy a turbo or GT2. Would probably be cheaper.

LOL. I didn't realize the engine, tranny, and some minor aerodynamic features only account for 5% of the car. hilarious
