Spyder Engine Activated DRL's
 

Just purchased set of Spyder Sonar engine activated DRL's but instructions are vague on installation. 1. Blue and black connects go to battery but RED control wire appears to be also attached to positive terminal of battery but seems OPTIONAL. Has anyone installed Spyder DRL's on their 996. I have a 2001 C2. 2. Instructions do not cover install of bracket and assembly except for min/max height placement of lights. 3. I just found out after ordering that installation of DRL's that did not come with car as standard equipment, in state of PA are not legal?? Why, if true?
