Urgent: please see if you've gone through this problem as well.

Hi 6speed,

After starting the car and noticing that the radio was on, but not playing any music (wasn't on mute) I opened up the fuse box and easily fixed that problem. Shortly afterwards I looked into the engine bay through the vents and noticed that the lamp inside was on, even when the engine cover was closed. I checked the light inside the front trunk and the light was really hot, as if it had been on for hours, same with the interior lights underneath the side doors. Has anyone experienced this? If so, please help.

Thank you

Sounds like a bad switch in the frunk. Just pull the bulb until you sort it out.

I need a kid small enough to put in the trunk and close the lid to check this out - any takers?

I'm not confident a frunk switch would have anything tto do with the radio being mute. Take it in to your shop before you have an electrical melt down. Oh, and remove the bulb until you do.

thanks a lot, it seems that the lights turned off as soon as I remotely locked the car. I will bring it into the shop to check that out. And additionally, I noticed that recently when I locked the car, there would be several occasions when the beep wouldn't sound when the car was locked. Weird...
