What gas do you use?

Well, just wondering what gas everyone uses, I've been using Shell V-Power 93 octane. But I read on a google search that Chevron and Mobile are better choices, any thoughts?

91 is the highest I can get here also. I could get 94 at Sunoco when I lived in Indiana!

I typically use Shell Premium 91 now. It's primarily because the station is close to my house, and the pumps there actually allow me to fill my tank with gas. There's a Conoco station up the street, but I usually get only 1/2 or 3/4 of a tank there and then it won't allow me to fill up. I've had the issue at several other stations.

Chevron Premium because both the EPA certification engineers I worked with at Shelby American & Saleen Performance insisted nothing but Chevron Supreme went in the emissions test cars.

93 at any of the name brand stores. All top tier gas is very close to the same. They will just have different cleaning products and amounts in them. Most are produced at the same refineries.

I remember reading somewhere if you don't get a full take of gas at the pump, try turing the handle 45 degrees when your pumping gas.

Chevron w/ Techron. Works best in both cars.

Living in Park City / Salt Lake (work). We can also only get 91 octane. For my 911 I've found a special station at 9th So. / 1300 East that sells NON ethanol 92 at a special pump...like some sell race gas. I add a bottle of Amsoil Octane Booster to every tank leaving me at about 94.5 (this booster placed 3rd of 11 octane boosters in a test of "add in / bottled" boosters). Without it I can definitely feel a little sluggishness with reduced timing to compensate for the poor fuel. I use Chevron and Shell for my SUV's. They both seem to work great.

That works sometimes. I'd rather just use a gas pump that works properly though! Besides, I've always been happy with Shell gasoline.

Fair enough, so which brand of gas do you use and what brand of oil do you use?

I believe this is probably true especially for Shell, BUT I bought a new Honda Prelude Si in 1996 usually used Chevron noticed every time I used Shell my idle speed would fluctuate (clogging injecters) this worsened until I ran a tank of Chevron & the idle speed would return to steady factory spec. Chevron Techron additive seems to be the standard of the industry. I believe this is why Shell advertising highlights their New additives.
