Okay. I don't usually relay events which I'm involved in but...
Tonight I came across a listing on Craigslist for Porsche Turbo wheels and tires for sale. No information was listed other than tire type and wheel width. I emailed the seller and asked for the wheel specifics to which he replied, I just put it on the listing. I then went to the listing and he had added more wheel specifics but not the offsets. I emailed him back and asked him for the offsets and told him that if they fit, I would come by one evening this week and see/buy the wheels. He replied by telling me I could get the offset information on line.

I advised him that many wheels come in different offsets and that I needed the offset information or I would have to pass on the wheels. He said "okay" and promptly raised the price of the package by $700. They've been listed for over a week and I thought he wanted to sell them. Go figure. I buy,sell and give away a lot of things on CL but I've never come across anyone like that before.

 

All I can say is this; They're more than likely stolen.

 

Some people aren't great sellers or are too lazy to exert any real effort to make a sale. These kinds of people are probably not in a services oriented industry I'm thinking.

 

I guess his urge for cash got the better of him (or he lurkes here) as he texted me with the offsets. All for naught I believe as the rears are 19x11 w/ 51 offset. That combined with the 305/35 19 tires makes them a no fit proposition. Too bad. I think a 57-62ET would have worked.
