My engine may have heartburn

I believe I may have asked this before, but received no responses. After my Pcar reaches normal operating temperature, it makes a odd sound when pulling away in first gear from a dead stop. The best description of this sound is a soft burping sound a bubble makes when it bursts. Don't laugh. I put a lot of thought into this description. It only occurs when pulling away from a dead stop, or first gear. Also, when the engine is hot after a sprint on the freeway. And, never when the engine is cold. It seems minor since I sense no performance issues. It just has been bugging me for some time now. Any response would be greatly appreciated.

I would try putting in a tablet of Alka-Seltzer with a full tank of gas. See if that works.

Never heard that, so no advice other than the advice I give anyone with new/undiagnosed noises - Take it to your dealer/mechanic and had it diagnosed prior to driving it anymore. There's no reason to listen to a new noise that could be fixed for next to nothing until it explodes on your wallet.

Thank you denversteve. I was hoping to avoid my indy. I prefer the DIY approach. Come on folks. Spark plugs, tube, vacuum leak, engine mounts???? Guesses welcome.

You know, it almost sounds like a small/minor backfire, like when at idle too much gas is in the mix.

That's just a gues though.

That actually crossed my mind. Too much gas, or too little air, in the mix. Cleaned the MAF sensor, and replaced the air filter to no avail. Guesses still welcome.
