Wheel offset/tire size help... 997 Lobster Forks on 00 carrera..

Hi all!

So - I have searched, however, keep coming to a controversial list of findings.

I have a 2000 Porsche 996 Convertible and I just purchased a set of 997 lobster fork wheels (19x8 front and 19x11 rear.... Front offset is 57 and rear offset is 67).

Question #1. What sort of spacers (if any) will I need to have these fit my Carrera?
Question #2. What sort of tire sizes should I aim for?

My vehicle is lowered - and here is what it looks like!

The fact that you appear so lowered is a key factor. There would be a few more options otherwise. Nonetheless, I believe your front ET57 would require a 5-7mm spacer with a 245/35/19 tire resulting in a 25.75" diameter. Note: You may be able to get away with no spacers using a 235/35/19. Also, you will need longer lug bolts when adding spacers. As for the rear, I would say you are good (no spacers required) with a 285/30/19 tire resulting in a 25.74" diameter. You may be able to go 295/30/19 at the rear. Given your drop, this is where I would begin to worry about rubbing issues. Brand of tires is personal choice; I like HANKOOK V12. Good luck.

As mentioned, you're lowered quite a bit so you may encounter some rubbing, if you lowered using coilovers that could be corrected. As far as tires, personal choice, I'm rumming Kumho, I've heard good things about both Sumi's and Hankook.
Alos, to help with inner tire wear have them remove some of the toe out.
