Thumbs up Beatiful day to clean out the radiators

I recently bought an aftermarket GT3 front bumper so I decided to test fit it before I send it out for paint. While the bumper was off, I took the opportunity to clean out my radiators. As I suspected they were dirty.

AFTER.....

I found a lot of fur. Previous owner drove the car strictly in Downtown Los Angeles. Really weird.

Now you might consider making yourself grills for the front air scoops to stop trash getting between the rads and condensers as I did. You can buy them for $300 (if you have loads of money) or make them yourself for $5 as I did. Check my posts and you will get full details and photos of my DIY work.

Thats pretty disgusting but im feeling inspired....pics to follow during the holidays.

Other than preventing the rot setting in is there any noticable differences to heat/air con when you clean these?

That is a hard question to answer owing to altering outside temps and how hard or soft you drive the car. No noticeable difference. Suffice to say, Any blockage in air flow cannot be a good thing. By freeing up and clearing away the debris must increase the air flow through the radiators and condensers.

I've seen a pic of a dead lizard in one. My yellow one is like a street sweeper, 4 inches off the ground it sucks everything in sight. I found a piece of paper once, opened it up.. homework. Instead of my dog ate my homework, my kids now say my CAR ate my homework.
