I was riding done I20 today in Dallas, when I heard a loud cracking sound. I couldn't tell you if it was a rock or just the glass but my Targa top shattered. It looks like spider-man cast his web on it. I'm so frustrated right now. I'm going to have to file a claim. Unbelievable! I will post some pictures, so you guys can feel my pain.

 

Targa went to the body shop today to repair the sun roof. The total cost $6095. Unbelievable, just for a piece of glass. I fold the glass on ebay for a grand but I did not know of anyone in Dallas to help me repair it, plus I filed on my insurance.

They, tried but there is no glass company in U.S. that supplies targa top glass.

 

Well the Targa was fixed, I got it back today. I feel like I got raped, $6000 bucks for a piece of glass. The entire top is on Ebay for around $1500. What can you do?

 

For parts like that, buy them from auto dismantlers.

 

Thanks for the info. The problem wasn't finding the part, it was the work. I had no idea on where to begin. If I could have done it myself, the savings would have been astronomical.
