996 Seat Recliner Wiring
I am in the process of fitting a pair of 986 sport seats in my 2002 C4S. The sport seats were manual the C4S has electric memory heated seats. I switched the bases to make the sport seats memory electric but not heated. I xan’t figure out how to power the seat recliner motor. Dies anyone have a wiring diagram for the memory CU that shows the wires that go to the recliner motor? opener 2008 RS60 Boxster 6 spd, 2002 C4S Tip |
Wouldnt the original base recline switch still plug into the floor harness for power?

No, it’s not that easy when you are installing a manual seat into a car with power memory seats. I did finally figure it out. The female multi-connector attached to the seat that connects to the memory ecu has two wires, gray/black and gray/green. I cut off the plug for the recliner motor and removed the two wires from the female connector. Then I made my own connectors and it works as designed. My new seats have full power adjustments and memory.
