GEAR or DIFFERENTIAL OIL...NOT TRANSMISSION OIL/ATF 996 C2 MK1 (TIPTRONIC)

Hi. Started a new thread on GEAR OIL because when I search for GEAR OIL change, all I can see are threads on TRANNY OIL CHANGE etc. Does anyone have experience in changing / topping up their gear / differential oils? The gear box I'm referring to is the one mentioned in the Pelican parts article on tranny oil change DIY...

The automatic transmission also has a built-in differential that requires standard gear oil. Check and fill your gear oil as per the instructions in Pelican Technical Article: Replacing Manual Transmission Fluid - Porsche 911 Carrera.

1. Does the 996 really have a different fill plug for the gear box or differential?
2. Where is it located? Passenger side near where the CV join is? Is it the one below...

3. Planning on vacuum pumping out the 20 year old gear oil out so I can put in fresh oil - how many liters should I pump in?
4. Currently looking at Liqui Moly Gear Oil GL5 SAE 75W90 Fully-Synthetic. What would be your recommended Gearbox/differential oil?

Anything you can share related to this gear/differential oils will be appreciated. Thanks in advance guys!
